Helping members run their schemes, February 2026 Update

One of the things that came home to me during last week’s Pensions UK Trustee Forum event (where I enjoyed meeting around 45 trustees from across our membership) was the sheer volume of consultations coming over the horizon.

Our Policy Director, Zoe Alexander, showed us all a packed timeline of what her team will be tackling once the current Pension Schemes Bill becomes law, pointing out that the Bill is very ‘high-level’ and the detail will all be fleshed out in secondary legislation.

This means that consultations on small pots, ‘guided retirement’, value for money, CDC and the default fund scale test will all hit our Policy team’s desks - probably just as they are thinking about summer holidays. Brace yourselves, colleagues!
