Helping members run their schemes, March 2026

You have probably seen the good news about the Pension Protection Fund deciding to hold its levy at zero for the second year in a row – a welcome announcement for the many Pensions UK members that run DB schemes.

I just wanted to underline the connection between this positive news and the work that our Policy team does on your behalf, because developments like this don’t happen by accident! Reducing the levy to zero this year, and keeping it there again for 2026-27, is something that our team has been pressing for, and it’s great to see their efforts bearing fruit. And, to put it bluntly, many of our members will save more from this than they pay us in annual subscription, justifying their Pensions UK membership through this alone.
