Pensions UK freshens governance structure with 21 new Policy Committee members

Pensions UK has appointed 21 industry experts to its Defined Benefit, Master Trust, Local Authority and Defined Contribution Committees, as the terms of some existing members come to an end.

The four Committees focus on specific policy issues across the pensions landscape, providing deep subject‑matter expertise and ensuring the voices of workplace schemes, providers and advisers are represented in Pensions UK’s policy development. Each Committee plays a vital advisory role and meets three times a year.

Joining the Defined Benefit Committee are:

  • Andy Fryer, Just Group

  • Mathew Webb, Legal & General
  • Niamh Hamlyn, Travers Smith
  • Philip Goss, Linklaters
  • Rob Durbin, PI Partnership Group

New members of the Master Trust Committee are:

  • Ruari Grant, TPT
  • Paul Kitson, EY
  • Kate Smith, Aegon

Joining the Local Authority Committee are:

  • Lana Watson, London Pension Fund Authority
  • Daniel Chessel, Essex Pension Fund
  • Andrew Stone, South Yorkshire Pension Fund

The Defined Contribution Committee welcomes:

  • Alastair Black, Aberdeen
  • Anne Jones, WTW
  • Muntazir Hadadi, FirstGroup PLC/First Bus
  • Stephen Budge, LCP
  • Dale Critchley, Aviva
  • David James, Travers Smith
  • Lissa McGown, Lloyds Banking Group
