The Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) launched a consultation in October which represents the next phase in the Government’s efforts to improve access to and fairness in the scheme. The document includes proposals in 4 areas: Normal Minimum Pension Age, mayors and councillors, academies and applications for directions and New Fair Deal.
Given the technical nature of many of the consultation questions, Pensions UK has submitted a letter in response, presenting an overarching perspective that reflects the collective views of our members.
