Angie Allardyce
Personal Assistant to the CEO

Angie joined Pensions UK in November 2021 and is Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer. She also provides support to the Chief Financial Officer and has responsibility for taking the minutes at Pensions UK Senior Management and Board meetings.

Angie has over 15 years’ experience working as an assistant at executive level in Financial Services including nine years at Natwest Group and also supporting the UK CEO of AXA Investment Managers.


Alison Binks
Director of Business Development

Alison joined Pensions UK in April 2014.

Prior to joining the association Alison was Head of Sales at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance. Previously she worked in management consultancy for a top 10 accountancy firm, designing and delivering large scale contracts in risk management, financial recovery, culture change, BPR and systems design.


Matthew Blakstad
Deputy Director, Strategic Policy & Research

Before Pensions UK, Matthew was Analysis Director at Nest Insight, where he led a programme of research, analysis and behavioural trials. Prior to taking up this role, he was responsible for Nest’s proposition for its 7m members. He joined Nest from the Department for Work and Pensions, where he developed public information strategies for State and Workplace Pension Reform. Before this, he headed up research and communications teams at PwC, Buck Consultants, and Talking People.

Alongside his research publications, he is also the author of the novels Sockpuppet, Fallen Angel, and Lucky Ghost, which explore the risks presented to citizens by the new digital economy.  


Edward Bogira
Head of Digital & Communications

Edward is responsible for developing and maintaining a distinctive, differentiated and engaging Pensions UK brand proposition around the tone of voice, product and working style that inform the way Pensions UK staff work and communicate. He also oversees our publications, website and other communications including speeches.

Edward began his career as a press officer at the Pension Protection Fund, before roles in policy and strategy and then finally as Head of Chief Executive’s Office. He joined Pensions UK as Chief of Staff in 2013.

Edward has a BA in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of Manchester and an MA in English: Issues in Modern Culture from UCL.


Shelly-Ann Bogle
Management Accountant

Shelly-Ann joined Pensions UK in November 2006. She supports the Head of Finance in delivering a high quality accounting service. Shelly-Ann is responsible for preparing the monthly Management Accounts and KPI report. Other responsibilities include: liaising with HMRC re corporate taxes, enabling quarterly VAT returns, liaising with the bank and payroll bureau.

Shelly holds an HND in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Technology Jamaica, and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).


Philip Brown
Head of DC, Master Trusts and Lifetime Savings

Philip joined Pensions UK in February 2026. With over 38 years of experience in financial services, most in pensions and retirement income products, he has held various roles, including independent consulting, Director of Policy and External Affairs at Nest and People’s Partnership, Head of Policy at LV=, and Senior Policy Associate at the Financial Services Authority. He also managed the vesting process for a large pension and life product portfolio and won The Public Affairs Awards ‘Corporate Campaign of the Year’ 2016.

Philip has been active in industry trade bodies, including Pensions UK Policy Board and Master Trust Committee, ABI Retirement and Savings Committee, ILAG Savings Strategy Group, PICA, Options Steering Board, Money Advice Service Independent Review Panel, Retirement Planning Financial Capability Strategy Steering Group, HMT FinTech Delivery Panel, and InsureTech Board. 


Angela Chapman
Human Resources Manager

Angela joined Pensions UK in April 2022 and is responsible for managing the Human Resource function and services for the association.

Angela has over 10 years’ experience within HR, working across various different sectors including legal, professional services, engineering and retail.


Krista D’Alessandro
Policy Lead

Krista joined Pensions UK in January 2023.

She is passionate about public policy that promotes economic and social equity, and prior to joining Pensions UK, she worked in Washington D.C. as a Senior Tax Policy Analyst at Enterprise Community Partners, a national affordable housing non-profit.

Krista has a Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Boston College.


Jess Davies
Head of Events

Jess joined Pensions UK in October 2006 and manages the logistics and production of the association’s flagship conferences and exhibitions including Pensions UK's Investment Conference, Local Authority Conference, and Annual Conference & Exhibition.

Before joining the association, Jess worked for Brand Events and DMG World Media and was involved in a wide range of shows including MPH Live (now Top Gear Live), The Ski and Snowboard Show and Taste Festivals.


Frank Day
Events Content Creator

Frank joined Pensions UK in May 2024 and manages the content delivered at our events and forums.

With a career spanning pensions admin, pensions communications, and content writing, Frank has the skills and vision to help keep the association's events the best in the industry.


Nicky Day
Insight Manager

Nicky joined Pensions UK as Insights Manager in January 2020. She is a specialist in market research with over 25 years of experience working in consumer research and financial services. Prior to joining Pensions UK Nicky was Head of Insight & Analytics at The People’s Pension where she was responsible for providing evidence based customer insight. At People’s Nicky carried out a range of research including customer satisfaction surveys, product development projects, thought leadership and branding research.

Prior to joining The People’s Pension Nicky was Insight Lead at The Pensions Regulator where she was responsible for all research into automatic enrolment, including determining levels of awareness and understanding of automatic enrolment among employers and intermediaries.

Nicky also worked as a Research Director at Ipsos MORI for over 15 years, working with a range of private sector financial services and consumer clients, as well as a number of government departments.

Nicky has a MA in Marketing from the University of West of England and BA in European Economics from Middlesex University and University of Nantes, France.


George Dollner
Head of Strategic Policy

Prior to joining Pensions UK in September 2023, George spent almost six years at the Department for Work and Pensions working across various areas of pensions, health and disability policy. Most recently, he worked on the pensions dashboards project. He has a BA (hons) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Southampton and in his spare time, is a keen runner!


Maria Espadinha
Policy Lead

Maria is policy lead in Pensions UK's Policy and Advocacy team, with a focus on the LGPS, after joining the trade association on February 2023 as senior policy advisor. Previously, Maria had a career in journalism spanning almost two decades in London and Lisbon. She was editor of Pensions Expert at the Financial Times since January 2021, which she joined as deputy editor in November 2019. Previously, she worked as a senior reporter for Financial Adviser and FTAdviser covering workplace pensions, receiving the Personal Finance Society Trade Press Personal Finance Journalist award in 2018-19.


Dana Granville
Content & Community Manager

Dana joined Pensions UK in April 2023. She is responsible for the content and communities in Pensions UK's member hub.

Prior to joining Pensions UK, Dana worked in communications roles for several not-for-profit and membership organisations. She has a BA in Journalism and History, from Carleton University in Canada.


Kate Hadley
Director of Events

Kate is responsible for all events and training services delivered by Pensions UK.  She has over 20 years experience of  successfully leading on complex, high profile events for the financial services and healthcare sectors, both in the UK and overseas.


Ben Harwood
CRM Benefits Realisation Manager

Ben joined Pensions UK in April 2016 and is the association's CRM Benefits Realisation Manager. He helps maintain the CRM system, working closely with all departments to continually develop the system itself and the knowledge of staff using the system.

Ben previously held a Business Development role at Pensions UK. Before joining the association, he worked in the sales team at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and as a primary school teacher.


Nikolina Hudi
Registration Manager

Nikolina joined Pensions UK in October 2012. Nikolina heads up the registration side of Pensions UK’s events and is the first port of call for all Pensions UK’s event delegates. Nikolina also works on improvements and management of Pensions UK's database.

Prior to joining the association, Nikolina spent six years working at the Croatian Embassy in London.


Jananie Janarthana
Senior Policy Adviser

Jananie joined Pensions UK in December 2025, bringing a decade of experience across government, research, and trade unions in Australia. She served as an Adviser to the NSW Minister for Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Heritage, where she led parliamentary strategy and stakeholder engagement. Throughout her career, she has built a strong track record of delivering clear, practical communications and policy outcomes.

She holds a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Sydney.


Stephen Judkins
Digital Manager

Stephen is responsible for delivering and managing Pensions UK’s website and other digital channels, ensuring they enable effective and engaging brand appropriate communication with members, staff and the pensions community. Stephen also creates a range of content for the association’s channels, including written, video, photo and design.

Stephen joined Pensions UK in February 2006, initially working with the events team before moving to a website role.


Helen Lamb
Senior Membership Engagement Manager

Helen joined Pensions UK in November 2019 to further support and strengthen relationships with members. As Member Engagement Manager, Helen draws on a wealth of experience in membership roles, notably as Head of Membership and Marketing at the European Sponsorship Association.

Helen has also worked in marketing communications and PR in a variety of sectors including financial services for over 15 years. She enjoys meeting PLSA members and developing member networks.

She has a BA degree in English from the University of Cape Town in her native city.


Katy Holmes
Head of Parliamentary and Stakeholder Affairs

Katy joined Pensions UK in April 2021 and leads on our government affairs work.

Prior to this, she worked in a public affairs role at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, the professional chartered body for actuaries in the UK. She has also spent a number of years working in Parliament supporting both a MP and a Peer, and also has experience working for Local Government.

Katy has a BA (Hons) in politics from the University of East Anglia.


Rebecca Martin
Membership Engagement Executive

Becky joined Pensions UK in July 2008.

Becky works with the membership team. Her main responsibilities include membership enquiries, processing membership applications and renewals, and updating the association’s membership database. Becky is also responsible for updating the membership and local group pages of the association’s website.


Rebecca Moessl
Events Programme & Technical Manager

Rebecca joined Pensions UK in February 2008. She oversees conference programme delivery and speaker liaison for Pensions UK’s major events such as Annual Conference, Investment Conference and Local Authority Conference.

She also manages the technical requirements and production for all Pensions UK’s events which includes audio visual, IT, video and the events app.

Before joining the association Rebecca worked in customer service and operations roles in the insurance and other industries. Rebecca holds a business degree from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.


Jamie Neath
Parliamentary & Stakeholder Affairs Adviser

Jamie joined Pensions UK in May 2023 and supports our government and stakeholder engagement work. Having graduated from university he spent a year working as a Sawyer in a sawmill. He graduated with a BA (hons) in Politics and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Essex, following which he worked as a research assistant for a professor and as a voluntary Policy Advisor for Equipo Europa. 

He is also a TEFL qualified online English language tutor.


Rebeccah Onabajo
Marketing & Social Media Executive

Rebeccah joined Pensions UK in June 2023 as a Marketing and Social Media Executive. She is responsible for managing Pensions UK’s social media accounts and supporting the MarComms team to achieve key marketing objectives.

Before joining the association, she worked as a Social Media Assistant for a startup firm in the eLearning industry. She has a BSc in Business Management from the University of Surrey.


Deepak Patel
Head Of Information Systems

Deepak joined Pension UK in July 2018.

Deepak is responsible for ensuring a first-rate ICT environment at Pensions UK.  This includes ensuring high-availability of Information Systems as well as managing all aspects of IT including designing, planning, implementation and IT governance.

Prior to joining Pensions UK in July 2018, Deepak has worked in a broad range of IT roles spanning many sectors, working with organisations such as Land Rover, AXA, Nike, The Scout Association and Reprieve.


Eileen Pevreall
Director of Technology and Data

Eileen manages the Digital, Data, and Technology functions at Pensions UK. Before joining the association, she served as the Chief Digital and Information Officer at The Money and Pensions Service (MAPS), where she oversaw IT, Marketing, Data, and Digital development.

With 20+ years of director level experience, Eileen has contributed to the Rail, Energy, and Professional Services sectors, leveraging data and technology to drive digital transformation across various organisations.


Lisa Rowland
Exhibition & Sponsorship Manager

Lisa joined Pensions UK in January 2026. Lisa supports Sponsors and Exhibitors in the lead up to the association’s flagship conferences and exhibitions including Pensions UK's Investment Conference, Local Authority Conference, and Annual Conference & Exhibition.

Before joining Pensions UK, Lisa’s experience involved working with associations and pharmaceutical companies as a freelancer specialising in production and digital events. She has a BA Honours degree in Event Management from Coventry University.


Simon Sarker
Head of Research

Simon joined Pensions UK as Head of Research in March 2018. He is a specialist in market research with over 18 years of experience working in consumer research and financial services. Prior to joining Pensions UK Simon was a Technical Specialist working in Consumer Insight at the Financial Conduct Authority. Simon was a co-author of the FCA’s publications on Consumer Vulnerability and Access to Financial Services. He led the research and evaluation work on several large scale consumer campaign projects, worked on significant projects for Supervision, Policy and Enforcement, developed a consumer segmentation for the organisation and managed the original research for the FCA’s ground-breaking work on financial capability. Simon has also worked as a Research Director in a research agency working with financial services, media, retail and academic clients.

Simon has a MSc in Marketing from the Alliance Manchester Business School. 


Olivia Sizeland
Senior Policy Adviser

Olivia joined Pensions UK in February 2023 as a Senior Policy Advisor. Prior to joining the association, Olivia worked in a policy role at The Money Charity, a financial capability charity.

She has an MA in Political Theory from The University of Manchester.


Mark Smith
Head of Media Relations

Mark joined Pensions UK in March 2019 and is responsible for media relations and public affairs. He has nine years’ experience in the financial services industry in the UK and Australia.

Before joining Pensions UK, Mark headed up media relations for the Financial Services Council, Australia’s peak body for pensions, life insurance, financial advice and investment management. He has also worked as a journalist for publications in London and Sydney specialising in pensions and funds management.

Mark has a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Manchester.


Sophie Smith
Senior Policy Adviser

Sophie joined Pensions UK in January 2026 as a Senior Policy Advisor in the DC policy team. Prior to this, she worked in both pensions' journalism and PR, most recently as Deputy Editor at Pensions Age and European Pensions.

Sophie graduated from University of Warwick with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature. 


Cali Sullivan
PR Manager

Cali joined Pensions UK in March 2023 as PR Manager. She has 10 years’ experience in public relations and has worked in the financial services industry for more than six.

Before joining Pensions UK, Cali was responsible for media relations at Barnett Waddingham, a financial services consultancy. She also has PR experience in the public sector space which has included a local authority and University press office.

Cali has a BA (Hons) in Journalism and a CIPR Diploma in Public Relations.


Tiffany Tsang
Head of DB, LGPS & Investment

Tiffany is Head of DB, LGPS and Investment at Pensions UK. She first joined the Governance & Investment team in February 2018. She is an economist and pensions policy specialist with over 15 years of public policy experience.

Prior to Pensions UK, she was a Policy Adviser for the Association of British Insurers (ABI), where she focused on the UK retirement market and tax relief. She also oversaw research projects for the Retirement & Savings team.

Before the ABI, she led programme evaluations and labour market research for The Work Foundation. As a Research Officer at the London School of Economics (LSE), her work included analysing consumption patterns, national taxation levels and inequalities. For Euromonitor International, Tiffany published reports on emerging markets’ business environments. Her career started with international development work in Southern Africa.

Tiffany has an LSE MPA in Public and Economic Policy and an International Studies Bachelor’s from Vassar in her native New York.


Karim Uddin
Head of Business Development

Karim joined the Pensions UK Business Development team in March 2022 as Business Development Manager, later promoted to Head of Business Development. Karim looks after some of our business members and helps maximise our engagement and commercial opportunities. He also works to bring on board new members to the association.

Karim previously worked at the British Healthcare Trades Association as their Business Development Manager, bringing with him over 14 years of experience in membership, prior to this has worked within Borough Council (LBTH) within Housing, Strategy and Social Services, he has also worked with the Met as a Diversity & Inclusion Lead.


James Walsh
Head of Membership Engagement

James is Head of Membership Engagement at Pensions UK, where he acts as a link between the members and staff and ensures the organisation has a good understanding of the challenges that pension schemes are facing. 

Prior to joining the Membership team, James led Pensions UK’s work on EU issues, including the UK’s exit from the EU and implementation of the EU workplace pensions directive.

Earlier in his career, James was Public Policy Manager for ASDA Stores Ltd and Head of Public Affairs at the Institute of Directors. He also held a series of positions in the Conservative Research Department, serving as Head of Economic Section and then as Deputy Director.


Hollie Webb
Events Executive

Hollie joined the events team at Pensions UK in February 2023. Hollie supports the events team from the registration process, through to attending the association's biggest annual events. 

Before pursuing her career in events, Hollie worked for the ambulance service for two years, while working in the interior design industry for four years. During this time, she achieved a qualification in professional interior design from the National Design Academy and her Category 2 HGV license.


Sophie Wilbraham
Events Programme Assistant

Sophie joined the Events team at Pensions UK in April 2024. She is responsible for liaising with speakers on logistics and supporting the team with programme development and technical delivery for all the association’s major events, including the Annual Conference & Exhibition, Investment Conference, and Local Authority Conference.

Sophie holds an MA (Hons) in English Literature, Film & TV from the University of Glasgow.


Cheryl Wilkinson
Senior Membership Engagement Manager

Cheryl joined Pensions UK in March 2017.

Cheryl has responsibility for membership engagement and retention.  Cheryl supports and develops the association’s Local Groups and manages the associations’ member networks.

Prior to joining, Cheryl worked for Mercer managing their Diversity and Inclusion membership networks and events for the UK, Europe and globally.  Previous employers also include the Local Government Association and Association of Police Authorities.

She has a BA (Hons) Politics & Russian Studies degree from Keele University and MA Literature from University of Southampton.


Matthew Williams
Content Executive

Matt joined Pensions UK in July 2024. He is responsible for supporting the Content team in producing valuable material for Pensions UK’s members.

Prior to joining Pensions UK, Matt worked as a copywriter for several years, both freelance and in employed positions. These saw him contribute to communications for a national research project at UCL, as well as shape the brand, tone of voice and content direction for a number of tech start-ups in different sectors.

He holds a BA in Modern Languages (German and Russian) from University College London.
