Trusteeship - Part 3: The expert

Hone your skills

Part 3 of our trustee training is designed for trustees with several years’ experience who want to build confidence and refine their skills. This session is an ideal refresher, providing a constructive space, where you can further develop your abilities.

You’ll work alongside other trustees at a similar stage, tackling realistic scenarios that involve multiple stakeholders and complex considerations. Through these boardroom simulations, you’ll practise how a trustee board handles mistakes, complex discretions and more.

“Great courses, great content and structure”

“The three courses build brilliantly on each other. Well worth doing all three”

“Excellent content with practical application. Covers the real issues that trustees are faced with”

What you'll learn

Our expert instructors will guide you through scenarios based on real-life situations, helping you to identify potential challenges and problems that you might face in your time as a trustee and how to manage them in line with regulations and your scheme rules.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Respond calmly and effectively when unexpected issues arise
  • Understand practical ways to manage investment risks and protect your scheme’s future
  • Handle mistakes confidently and turn challenges into learning opportunities
  • Exercise complex discretions with clarity and fairness
  • Work collaboratively with a team to build strong negotiation strategies that achieve the best outcomes.

100% event satisfaction

Come together with your peers

All our training takes place face to face at our office in London, giving you the chance to learn alongside fellow trustees, ask questions in a safe space, and build supportive connections. Many attendees tell us that meeting peers - people facing similar challenges and responsibilities - is one of the most valuable parts of the experience.
