Trusteeship - Part 2: The practice

Put learning into action and build your skills as a trustee

Part 2 of our trustee training is here to help you build confidence and take your skills to the next level. Designed for those who have more than six months’ experience , completed part 1 of our trustee training, and have attended a few board meetings.

This course walks you through realistic boardroom simulations and how to handle the issues trustees face every day, so you feel prepared and assured in your role.

Trustees deal with many different responsibilities, from conflicts of interest and investment choices to member benefits and managing advisers. This in-person session helps you and other trustees at the same stage to practise your knowledge and build on your existing skills.

Come together with your peers

All our training takes place face to face at our office in London, giving you the chance to learn alongside fellow trustees, ask questions in a safe space, and build supportive connections. Many attendees tell us that meeting peers - people facing similar challenges and responsibilities - is one of the most valuable parts of the experience.
